It’s always nice to have an excuse to visit Whale Beach, and what better reason than to shoot a wedding at the awesome Jonah’s Whale Beach Restaurant and Boutique Hotel. Sidetone: I had the best steak of my life here…

Unfortunately the winds weren’t on our side but the staff at Jonah’s did their best to tie down a picturesque ceremony setting without anything being blown away! I’d love to come back when it’s fairer weather, as I’m sure the sunset would make an amazing backdrop for the wedding vows.

Despite the cold and blustery spring weather, Debbie braved the sands at Whale Beach with Alfred for some photos by the sea before the winds got too much. I later found out that the reason why Alfred was so concerned about Debbie’s well-being on the beach was because she was in fact pregnant! Alfred announced their happy news to all the wedding guests later that evening.

Here’s a selection of a few of my favourite photos from Debbie and Alfred’s big day. If you’re planning to get married at Jonah’s at Whale Beach, get in touch to find out my latest wedding photography packages.
