It’s nice to start the summer wedding season with a Palm Beach Wedding, even if the weather forecast does show a big fat rain cloud over Sydney!

I joined Hayley and the girls in an amazing cliff top house with a sea view and the kind of interior decor that makes you wonder what the owner’s ‘main house’ is like. Hayley was bubbly and beaming but also concerned about the ominous weather which looked like it was about to ruin her special day.

A short trip down the road later and I was with Michael and his crew who were doing the usual men’s pre wedding preparations – beer and banter. Michael was left to make the tough call of whether to pull their Palm Beach wedding indoors at the last minute, but chose to roll the dice and stick with an al fresco ceremony by the sea.

Luckily the wedding gods chose to keep the clouds shut, and we all ended up having a great time in Lucinda Park for the ceremony, then afterwards in Wiltshire Park and on Palm Beach for some more photos.

The reception at Moby Dick’s featured some great food, a lot of laughs, a few tears, and some cut out masks of the bride and groom – definitely the most original wedding game I’ve seen so far! Here’s a very small selection of my favourite photos.
