I’m an only child. Elissa is one of four. Before we started having kids, I thought one would be enough. Then I thought we could compromise with two – I was wrong!… but how thankful I am now π
After our two boys were born right on their due dates (40 Weeks /Β Another 40 Weeks), our little girl Edith came along, just 1 day over.
It’s been a busy 9 months for us all, packing up our lives in Sydney to move up north to the Tweed Coast, nearer Elissa’s amazingly supportive family.
Being a city boy through and through, I thought I’d miss our urban lives, but it turns out we all like the quiet life… as quiet as it can be with 3 little terrors, that is!
Here’s the story of the life that little Edie came into.
(For the camera geeks, these photos were taken while I was reviewing about 10 different cameras, hence the slight variation in looks.)
The moment we found out it was a girl (most relieved day of my life!!)
The moment Harry found out it was a girl (worst day of his life!)
Jeff the superstar ‘poppa’ trying his best to wear them out…
…and so it begins… Labour Day!
11pm – probably best to get a bit closer to the hospital…
Threw the kids in the car…
In wait at Elissa’s childhood home, a stone’s throw from the hospital where she was born…
06:00, May 21st 2019. I’d like to say I stayed up all night by my wife’s side, but fortunately she has a mum and sister who took up the slack!!
10:30 – I better stop taking photos and start helping out!!Β
