My day started out in Woolloomooloo at the Blue A Taj Hotel on the Finger Wharf to cover Pete and the guys getting ready for the big day. The inside of the wharf always seems to be completely empty, which strikes me as odd as it’s such an interesting space for photos. I only had half an hour to play with, so took the boys out for a quick stroll around to see what interesting shots we could get.
One scooter ride later and I was in North Sydney to catch the end of Linda’s preparations with her mum, dad and bridesmaid Emma. Linda looked amazing in her simple and relaxed dress, the perfect compliment to her laid back, quirky personality.
Although I’ve covered several weddings at the Grounds of Alexandria, each one has made use of the space differently. Here, Linda and Pete used the entire outdoor area, including the children’s play area which turned into a make-shift vintage photo-booth. At one point we made a dash through the adjacent Potting Shed restaurant to take some green fingered snaps in the miniature botanic garden, followed by roasting marshmallows in a coal fire wheelbarrow… it’s easy to see why the Grounds is such a popular wedding venue!
Here are just a few of my favourite photos from the thousands I took. Let me know if you like them too 🙂
Congratulations to Linda and Pete!
