Usually, the mere mention of the words ‘Hens Night’ brings a shudder to even the manliest of men. I’m not sure what Hens Nights are like in Sydney, but coming from Nottingham in the UK where the women are bred tough and are known to wear mini skirts and backless tops in winter… when it’s snowing, let me tell you that if you see a Hens Night approaching, you cross to the other side of the road!
With this in mind, I was somewhat apprehensive to accept this job to shoot a party of 17 girls on their night out in Manly. However, I needn’t have worried – this group of Polish, Russian, Australian and even one English girl (maybe she wasn’t from the north…?!) were a pleasure to work with! The whole shoot was a surprise, organised for the bride to be, Natalia (in red of course), by her friend Aneta.
The majority of the photos on my blog are candid and unposed, so I thought I’d break tradition with this set to show that I’m not adverse to posing people, and that posing can still create some awesome images. Over to you, girls!
